What is malaria?
Malaria is a type of fever which is caused by four type of parasites.
1) Plasmodium Vivax
2) Plasmodium Falciparum
3) Plasmodium Ovale
4) Plasmodium Malariae
As the malaria parasites enter the blood stream they infect and destroy red blood cells. Destruction of these essential cells leads to symptom of malaria.
What is ‘Symptoms of Malaria’?
Malaria is manifested by many symptoms and most common symptom of malaria is
a) Fever with Chills (Rigors- Shaking Chills),
b) Headache,
c) Sever bodyahe,
d) Vomiting/ Nausea,
e) Malaria may cause anemia & Jaundice (Yellowness of skin)
f) Infection of P. Falciparum may cause Kidney failure, coma & death,
g) Loose motion etc…

How can I prevent myself from Malaria?
You and your family can prevent malaria by
keeping mosquitoes from biting you, especially at night
taking antimalarial drugs to kill the parasites
eliminating places around your home where mosquitoes breed
spraying insecticides on your home’s walls to kill adult mosquitoes that come inside
sleeping under bed nets – especially effective if they have been treated with insecticide, and
wearing insect repellent and long-sleeved clothing if out of doors at night
